Polices For Regina Ski Club Alpine/Snowboard Trips
All persons, from beginner to expert, youth to senior, are urged to come
and ski or snowboard with us. Singles are welcome, we will match you with
suitable roommates.
1. Each applicant for a spot on a trip must become a Regina Ski
Club (RSC) member in good standing. If you are not a current member, please
complete and submit an application using the annual membership form included
in the brochure or download an application available on the
membership page on this web site . Forms are also available from the
Director of Membership, Carolyn Gray ph.584 - 0185
2. Prices quoted for a specific trip include all applicable taxes
and other costs, unless otherwise noted.
3. To apply for a space on a trip, submit a deposit by cheque
payable to the Regina Ski Club. Mail the cheque directly to the trip
coordinator named. Include a note regarding the type of accommodation
desired and specify roommates, if any.
4. Trips will be filled in the order of deposits received by
the trip coordinator, using postmark dates when applicable.
5. Final payment must be in the hands of the Trip Coordinator
by the date specified for each trip. If payment is late, your space may
be forfeited to a person on the waiting list.
6. No refund will be given for:
member missing trip departure, or
unused portions of trip packages, or
dismissal from trip for unruly conduct.
Notwithstanding this, if a skier/snowboarder is injured or becomes incapacitated,
the
trip coordinator will provide reasonable assistance in trying
to recover any unused value of a lift ticket.
7. Trip participants are personally responsible for any property
damage and all extra costs incurred or caused by their actions.
8. The Regina Ski Club reserves the right to reject any person's
application for participation in an alpine ski/snowboard trip.
9. A person younger than 19 on the departure day of an alpine
trip must be accompanied by a person aged 19 or older who has accepted
responsibility for her/him.
10. No smoking is permitted on the bus or other vehicle used
to transport trip participants.
11. Foreign destinations, including the USA - participants detained
at customs or border crossing will be left behind, once the trip coordinator
has determined that it would be unreasonable to wait for the said participant
to be allowed to proceed with the remaining trip participants. While the
trip coordinator will make an effort to advise trip participants
of documentation required to enter a foreign country, it is the responsibility
of each trip participant to ensure that she/he has the required documentation
and status to enter the foreign country.
12. Cancellation procedures (unless otherwise stated):
If the RSC cancels a trip, all deposits and final payments will be refunded
to participants.
Individuals who wish to withdraw from a trip should notify the trip
coordinator at once. The trip coordinator will try to sell
the spot to a person on the waiting list. If there is no waiting list,
the individual withdrawing should attempt to sell the spot in consultation
with the trip coordinator. This will enable the trip coordinator
to ensure that appropriate room arrangements are possible.
Cancellation without a replacement more than 20 days before trip departure
will result in loss of deposit plus 25% of balance of trip cost, after
which the penalty increases to 50% of the balance of the trip cost.
Please remember - to avoid mix ups, always deal with the alpine
trip coordinator named for a specific trip and send payments directly
to her/him.
For the enjoyment of all , observe the skier's safety code. Have your
bindings checked and your skis/boards tuned before you ski. Bring sunscreen,
sun glasses and ski goggles with you to the slopes. And the best 'warmer',
a neck tube!
